Short book packed with the true spirit of Christmas

This very short book really gets to the heart of Christmas. It consists of a short story that imagines a consultation among the angels before the first Christmas, a short essay that reminds us of what the true spirit of gift-giving should be, a short sermon that invites us to keep Christmas rather than just celebrate it, and two Christmas prayers. It only takes about a half hour to read the entire book, and it is well worth the time.

Charming Metaphores

As I recall, this book is a collection of VanDyke's short stories that seem very simple on the surface, but on a deeper level, they are memorable metaphores about being compassionate, consistently remembering from whence our blessings come, and reaping the rewards of a life lived with love, gratitude, compassion and appreciation for the Creator of all of Life.
